Every Tuesday at dusk, the esf Avoriaz ski instructors light up the slopes during the traditional torchlit descent. Combining skill, light and the magic of the mountains, this iconic spectacle promises to be a highlight to share with family or friends. In a warm and enchanting atmosphere, this is an unmissable moment of your stay in Avoriaz—a visual experience that will leave you with wonderful memories.
- Where and when: The descent takes place in the Arare sector from 6.00 pm every Tuesday. (The time varies depending on sunset times throughout the season).

Children’s torchlight descent
An unforgettable and charitable experience during the February holidays
- Route: The children will ski down the Boulevard des Skieurs run to Place Jean Vuarnet, just before the instructors arrive.
- Where and when: The meeting point and time will be confirmed at a later date.
- Required level: 2ème Étoile minimum
- Price: €10 per torch, with proceeds donated to a charity supporting children.

The magic of Christmas comes to the slopes of Avoriaz
As a special treat, the torchlit descent will follow the legendary Chavanette run, culminating in a spectacular finish right in the heart of the resort. Amidst the lights, skill and magic of the mountains, the instructors from esf Avoriaz will treat you to an enchanting spectacle that is not to be missed.
This special event will be followed bythe long-awaited arrival of Father Christmas, much to the delight of young and old alike. A unique moment to share with family or friends, in the warm atmosphere of the festive season.
- Where and when: The descent will take place on the Chavanette run, with the skiers arriving in the resort from 6.00 pm (times subject to change depending on conditions and nightfall).
- We invite you to gather in the centre of the resort to enjoy the spectacle to the full.

Les P'tits Flambeaux
An unforgettable experience for children, raising funds for children and young people
🎉 On Tuesday 18 February, do come along tothe charity event “Les P’tits Flambeaux”.
Children will have the chance to enjoy an unforgettable experience as they descend the slopes by torchlight, in a festive and friendly atmosphere. A special moment of togetherness, pride and solidarity to be shared with the whole family.
All funds raised will be donated to three partner charities working to support children and young people: Association Petits Princes, Génération Montagne and Enfance et Montagne 🌟
- Route: The children will ski down the Boulevard des Skieurs run to Place Jean Vuarnet, just before the ski instructors arrive.

- Required level: 2ème Étoile minimum
- Price: €10 per torch, with all proceeds going to the partner organisations.
