Our history
Welcome to the website of the Avoriaz 1800 French Ski School, your school dedicated to making learning to ski a fun and enjoyable experience. Skiing, snowboarding, off-piste, freestyle, telemark, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, adaptive skiing… Our 180 instructors, the vast majority of whom are from the resort and surrounding area, invite you to share the joys of winter sports in one of the world’s most beautiful ski areas, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil.

The instructors at our French ski school have always been committed to teaching the most effective skiing techniques. As well as helping you learn how to ski, they also share their culture and knowledge of the local mountain environment. After all, there is no real enjoyment in skiing without discovering everything the mountains have to offer!
To make your learning as effective as possible, our instructors constantly adapt their expertise, teaching methods and services to keep pace with the latest trends, ensuring high-quality and safe lessons.
You will also benefit from a priority ski-school fast-track lane at every ski lift, helping you make the most of your time on the slopes.

Snow sports
for everyone
From your very first turns to competitive skiing, our esf offers a wide range of lessons for all levels. While young children discover skiing in our Children's Garden at the Club Piou Piou, children and adults alike can enjoy group lessons, private lessons and courses… right through to hiring an instructor exclusively for one or more days. The whole family can enjoy skiing while having fun.
Because the mountains should be accessible to everyone, our school also has instructors specially trained to support people with disabilities in discovering or rediscovering the joys of skiing, through our Handiski programmes and tailored support for each individual.
