Discover our offers

Our esf instructors, specialised and trained in teaching handiskiing, are here to help you discover the joys of skiing, with a range of equipment suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced skiers.

Which type of ski for which disability?

  • Ski chairs (Tandem) for people with motor disabilities:
The ski chair is a great way to discover the mountain environment. It gives you access to most of the ski area, thanks to the skills of our ski instructors and the ski lifts (apart from the ski lift).

Esf Avoriaz offers tandem skiing :
This enables people with disabilities, even severe ones, to enjoy a winter sport in complete safety on the ski slopes. The driver, our ski instructor, steers the wheelchair while the passenger sits on a seat on two skis. With this equipment, you can explore the ski area in the same way as a skier.
(We do not offer our chairs for hire).

  • Standing skiing with a visual disability:
Skiing for the visually impaired is possible thanks to voice guidance.
Visually impaired skiers and guides must wear a chasuble.

The esf Avoriaz has two types of chair:
-  Dual ski: Designed for people with lower-limb disabilities. This chair is semi-autonomous thanks to two articulated skates and offers good gliding quality.
